We’re down with the strawberry fields. Mmmm…yummm Strawberries….
That’s why the Lane Bus is hitting up the streets this Sunday to protect Oregon. Our home.
What is Measure 49 and why do we need it in our lives?
It’s a legislative referral that will appear on your ballot THIS November ‘07. The measure will work to clarify 2004’s Measure 37.
* It protects Oregon’s farmlands, forests, water and the rights of families to build one or a few homes on their own property.
* Fixes flaws in Measure 37 that allow large housing subdivisions, big-box stores and strip malls where they don’t belong.
* Restores balance by helping small property owners and preserving Oregon’s special quality of life for future generations.
So, what are ya waiting for?

I love the bus project and would love to go all over Oregon to spread the news about progressive women candidates. I will be in California on the 30th, but was hoping if when you go talk to people in Lane County, ask them this question. Have you honored your heroine at the Walk of the Heroines at Portland State yet? Fundraising for the HERwalkOREGON aka Portland’s Walk of the Heroines closes December 2007.
